I recently stayed at this luxurious hotel and got great value for my money. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, perfect for a solo traveler like me. The staff was friendly and attentive, making my stay even more...  

While the view acroos the country was good from our room, number 129, unfortunately it was above the yard that contained the rubbish/recycling bins which were untidy an had rubbish around them. I would suggest some form of cover so that these items cannot be seen from the guest rooms.

Its location within 15 minutes from downtown Cologne is of course interesting, but its main attraction is the Michelin Star restaurant Vendome. We travelled all the way from Cape Town to have a dinner experience in the Vendome, and it was...  

My stay at this historic building was impressive and exciting. The rooms were nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed for a good night's sleep. The staff was excellent and the breakfast room was beautiful. the hotel offers luxurious...  

The food is great, the rooms are very nice, the bars have live piano music (evening and afternoon), it is a real castle well animated.

The pool is a not very big.

What an incredible hotel! We arrived early after an overnight flight from the states and were warmly greeted and immediately escorted to a sumptuous breakfast in a magnificent high ceiling room while our room was readied. The hotel allowed us to check in early so we could get much needed sleep. It is a gorgeous hotel with every amenity. While unfortunately their beautiful spa was closed during our stay (probably the reason for a great rate), nonetheless, we totally enjoyed our stay. Our room was large and comfortable with a view of Cologne in the backdrop. We had dinner in the lovely Italian restaurant in the hotel, which was very, very good.

Nestled on a hill in a charming small town, this historic castle boasts stunning views of Cologne. It's a perfect location for castle enthusiasts and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of busy cities. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and well-designed bathrooms. The attentive staff offers a warm welcome and excellent customer service. The breakfast served on the green terrace is heavenly.

There is a possibility of being charged a high fee for garage parking.

The Hotel is very Beautefull . Rooms are very comfortable.The staff are OK. The restaurent is the best !!! Spa is very good.

All the services and facilities cost very much if you compare to the rate of the room. Sometime was shocked. For exemple 28euro Breakfast!! Internet 1 hour 10 euro's.... end...

This hotel is pure luxury! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome and attended to all of my needs. The Spa and wellness centre was exceptional, with a range of treatments and exclusive amenities that left me feeling pampered and rejuvenated. The heated swimming pool and sun terrace area were a particular highlight, offering stunning views and the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The restaurant and bar/lounge area were also fantastic, with a great range of food and drink options.

The only negative aspect of my stay was that I had some issues with the room amenities. While the room itself was spacious and beautifully decorated with exclusive features, I found that some of the amenities were not working properly.

I liked the service and quality of the accommodation. Room sizes were large and all fixtures and fittings were first class.

Food was very pricey. The shower was over the bath and you had to step up over a high bath lip to access the shower. For this quality accommodation, I expected a saparate shower.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful historic building and grounds. The tasteful decor in my small but cozy room added a touch of elegance. The highlight of my stay was dining at the 3-star Michelin restaurant, which exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and spoke both German and English fluently. Additionally, the hotel's location made it convenient for exploring nearby cities like Cologne, Essen, Bonn, Koblenz. I would highly recommend this hotel for its charm and culinary excellence.

Hotel atmosphere is v relaxing yet sophisticated; staff are particularly helpful & friendly. Our group included 10 year old & 22 year old daughters as well as granny in her 70s. The hotel did very well to suit all our needs, from playground & pool for younger daughter to chauffeur service to and from local metro for granny. The setting of the hotel is v grand & impressive with elegant interior. 3rd floor bedrooms have lovely panoramic view of Cologne, including cathedral. Rooms felt spacious with v high ceilings & lavish bathrooms.

Lack of kettle in room proved expensive with room service cup of tea costing €14.50. Breakfast was also pricy at €28.50 for 10 year old. We didn't want to hire a car and granny found trek to and from Cologne on metro (as Bensberg is final stop) v tiring, although it was fine for the rest of us. Indeed we preferred being able to relax in evenings away from Cologne after busy days sight-seeing.

Beautiful settings, very enjoyable spa, terrific gourmet restaurant, very nice staff. Highly recommended !
